Field context

Paved surfaces that gradually degrade

Paved surfaces gradually degrade as a result of the environment, wear and tear or inadequate installation. Moss and deposits build up between pavers, polymeric sand erodes, and joints become cracked or open. Humidity, organic accumulations, and inadequate drainage increase darkening and loss of stability. These signs often indicate that a complete refurbishment is becoming necessary.

Observed issues

Frequently encountered situations

These situations affect the appearance as well as the safety of traffic areas.

Interventions carried out

Complete refurbishment of pavers and joints

Each step helps to restore the stability and appearance of the paved surface.

Before/after gallery

Examples of observed transformations

Before/after comparisons illustrating interventions carried out on:

Before
After
Degraded joints and dirty pavers → refurbishment

Complete cleaning and restoration of joints with polymeric sand.

Before
After
Presence of lichen and joint degradation → thorough cleaning and filling of joints

Restored and stabilized surface

Before
After
Weed-infested pavers → restored joints and a uniform surface

Deep cleaning and polymeric sand replacement.

Our approach

What distinguishes our intervention

Each intervention begins with a complete analysis of the condition of the paved surface in order to identify fragile areas. The old sand is removed and the residues are removed before the new polymeric sand is installed. Compaction is carried out mechanically and in a controlled manner to ensure the stability of the joints. The furniture and nearby sensitive areas are protected, then the intervention area is cleaned rigorously. This approach makes it possible to obtain a stable and coherent paved surface.

Field reality

REAL INTERVENTIONS IN THE FIELD

These photos illustrate situations encountered during our interventions on residential and commercial buildings.

Paved surface overgrown
Pavers invaded by mold
Cracked or eroded polymer sand
Pavers blackened by mold and deposits
Paved surface with open joints and emerging vegetation
Darkened pavement wall with accumulation of organic deposits and fouled joints
Paved pool surround marked by organic deposits, blackened joints and encrusted stains
Pool surround made of fouled pavers with organic accumulation
Stairs made of dirty pavers with accumulation of organic deposits and altered joints
Overgrown paved driveway with bald joints and accumulation of organic debris
Paved surface with localized organic stains
Paved surface fouled with embedded organic deposits and blackened joints
Natural stone surface (flagstone) clogged with overgrown joints

Are your pavers showing signs of wear or damaged joints?

An evaluation determines whether a complete refurbishment of the joints is necessary.
